PROCESSES

Before beginning to apply any coating, all belongings must be removed from the area so nothing is touching floor. Then the concrete is acid etched and scrubbed with a machine. Ammonia is spread sufficiently, followed by a machine scrub and the concrete is then blown dry after a second rinse.

A small bead of silicone is placed in the bottom of trowelled joints and ran smooth with a brush to fill any cracks at the bottom of the joint. Expansion boards will be siliconed and epoxied to keep product from soaking in. We coat concrete slabs to the expansion joint just pass the garage door and include stem walls, unless noted otherwise. All sealers are rolled and brushed on.

* - All polyurethanes used are 100% solids

Solid Color Epoxy (Color Charts)

2 day process -  one coat of water based, two part epoxy primer and one coat of pigmented polyurethane* with UV stabilizers.

Note: The checker board floor is the same process as the solid color epoxy but requires a lot more time due to the necessary attention to detail.

Light/Medium Chip (Color Charts)

2 day process - one coat epoxy primer, one coat pigmented polyurethane*, light or medium broadcast of chips into the polyurethane*.

Light/Medium chip w/ clear coat

3 day process - one coat epoxy primer, one coat pigmented polyurethane*, light or medium broadcast of chips into the polyurethane*, and a coat of clear polyurethane* with UV stabilizers over the chips.

Granite Full Chip Broadcast (Color Charts)

3 day process - one coat of epoxy primer, one coat acrylic urethane, a full broadcast of chips, one coat of polyurethane* water based, one coat of clear polyurethane* with UV stabalizers.

D-Size Chip

Same Process completed with smaller chip size.

Acid Stain (2 day split process)

This is a two day process. On the first day, the floor is lightly prepped and the acid is sprayed onto the floor. Once the desired color is achieved the acid is nuetralized with ammonia. On day two the floor will be coated with a clear polyurethane* or solvent sealer.

Flagstone

Faux Flagstone

Concrete is acid etched and thin sets are trowled onto the existing concrete. Then a stone design is sketched over the dry thin set and grout lines are cut out using a grinder. Each stone is individually colored by hand, according to the chosen color scheme. After all the stones have been colored a polyurethane* or solvent sealer is applied. Once the sealer has dried the grout lines are colored.

Cooldeck

Acrylic Cool Decking

Concrete is acid etched and an acrylic thin set is laid. Then, a hopper is used to shoot the texture. When the texture is complete and dry the cool decking is then colored with the color selected.
